International Peat Congress 2012

Today last chance to submit your abstract/presentation proposal

The International Peat Congress 2012 will be held on 3 – 8 June 2012 in Stockholm, the beautiful capital of Sweden. If you would like to participate with a presentation, this is the last chance to sign up: all abstracts and presentation summaries must be submitted to the Congress server today, by 30 November. Please visit www.ipc2012.se for detailed instructions and to upload your documents within the next few hours.

The Congress will bring together some 500-800 experts on peat, mires and peatlands. Participants will come from science and industry, from the horticulture and energy sectors, boreal mire and tropical peatland research, climate change and forestry, from the Nordics, Central Europe, Canada, Asia and many countries in between.

The topic “Peatlands in Balance” describes what our efforts are about - to collect and share knowledge between peatland managers, researchers, conservationists, bog lovers, students and scientists of related disciplines - to be able to balance a sustainable use of peatlands considering environmental, social and economic aspects.

Come with us and present your work, discover new topics and find new friends!
