Responsibilities:

The Field Sales Manager / Organic Market will report to the PTC Sales Director in Europe. He will provide sales leadership for Premier Tech Chronos systems and products supported by application engineering. The Field Sales Manager is expected to create and maintain good long term relationships with a wide range of clients. He will be responsible for visiting key accounts and strategic partners or reps in the flexible packaging equipment for organic market segment (potting soils, peat moss, mulch, wood pellets, wood-shavings, cellulose, etc). He will be expected to travel regularly with customers to the PTC facilities in Canada and The Netherlands. He is responsible for identifying & exploring new market opportunities.

  • Conduct a market analysis of competitors and target markets;
  • Develop knowledge of the market : size, key players, potential customers, trends, needs;
  • Identify and target the market key players, policy makers and technical influencers;
  • Solicit potential customers;
  • Take final responsibility for generating revenue in line with the sales target and to exceed sales expectations;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and key accounts;
  • Determine sales prices on internal agreements;
  • Ensure full implementation of defined strategies;
  • Promote sales of PTC-Europe standards and engineered products;
  • Attend workshops, trade shows and seminars to keep up-to-date on changes in the industry;
  • Adherence to the sales processes defined to ensure the growth of PTC-Europe;
  • Provide reliable sales forecasts to senior management.

Profile:

  • A minimum of five years' experience as a Sales Manager (industrial sales);
  • College or Bachelor's degree in related field;
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills in German and English;
  • Effective negotiation skills, sales closing techniques, cold call techniques;
  • Availability to travel extensively;
  • Experience in the “organic” market is an asset;
  • Proactive attitude and customer focused;
