Peatlands International 1/2004 was published at the 12th International Peat Congress in June 2004. Besides the Annual Report 2003 it contained an introduction of the Great Teuravuoma Mire in Lappland, a report on how the Japanese Nakaikemi bog has been saved, a background document on peatlands in South-East Asia and many other topics.
